The legendary copywriter Dan Kennedy was one of the first persons to coin the term "Magnetic Marketing". He defined this term in the context of attracting people to one's business. (I imagine like iron filings to a magnet.)

The question then is: How in the world do you get qualified prospects chasing after you, begging you to accept them into your home-based business?

There are Three Key Steps to creating this optimal turn of events:

  1. First, you must know where your best prospects already are. What businesses are they in? What do they read? What trade publications do they subscribe to? What clubs do they belong to? What internet sites do they frequent? You must do the research to find out the answers to these questions. Then, the first step becomes clear: You must advertise where these potential prospects already are. Advertise in a particular medium, paid or free. Choose media options that allow you to test small. Then when you discover a winning medium, boost your advertising efforts.
  2. Secondly, have a toll-free number or a web address in your advertisement for your potential prospects to call or log-in to in order to get FREE information about your offer. Emphasize the benefits of them acquiring more information.

    Don't sell your products or services. They don't care about them. That's just the way it is. What they do care about is what's in it for them. How are they going to benefit by calling your toll-free number?

    What can they expect if they chose to log-in to your website? Remember; offer them something of value, something that will benefit them. Offer this information for free.

  3. The third key is to make a strong call to action. Once they have dialed your toll-free number or have logged into your website, provide them with the valuable information. Again, tell them how it can benefit them.

    Then provide a clear, strong statement or "call to action". Tell them exactly what steps they must now take in order to obtain what they really want e.g. more money, time freedom, a new car, home, college education for the kids, a vacation in France. etc.
